Most people have had the benefit of truly experiencing college. They have had the benefit of going to class all the time, actually picking the college that they have wanted to attend or being in a college that is close to their ideal college, but not me, I have been unfortunate in this regard. The person who was supposed to help me in high school because she gets paid to do it neglected her duties so horribly that my information was not sent on time. Now after this happened I chose to go to Laguardia Community College over all other community colleges because it actually looked like a college that could better propel me to go to a great 4 year college.
My first semester here, I broke my leg so bad that I ended up needing surgery and was left to go to school in crutches. A college experience is something I still haven't had the benefit of having but it is something I would like to go thru this semester. Now what I want out of this semester is to become a better writer, which is why I am taking multiple writing classes, including creative writing, to become a better writer in my work. I have written mostly journalism and poetry, but that was back in high school. I haven’t done any of that type of writing since I have been in college but it is something that I would like to get back to doing.
